Paul Honey
(Piano, Composer, Arranger)
Paul Honey’s musical career began as a chorister at Westminster Abbey, where he sang daily in the choir. Since graduating with a degree in music from Southampton University, he has enjoyed a highly varied career, not only working as a composer and arranger, but as a performer, musical director and record producer.
Early on in his career he worked primarily as a pianist and keyboard player in jazz and world music, but in the last few years he has concentrated on working as a composer and arranger both in media and for the concert platform. He has worked in television, composing the music for over 80 programmes (including Brum, Badjelly The Witch and the Bafta-nominated Boohbah) that are now broadcast throughout the world. He has also composed music for commercials (The AA, AEG Lavamat, Barnados) and for cinema (2 Days 9 Lives, Chopsticks). He has just completed writing original music for director Peter Richardson’s new film ‘The Golden Road’ as well as working on string arrangements with Joss Stone.
